We've all heard of the Six Degrees of Separation theory.  It states that if you randomly pick someone, you are connected by five intermediary acquaintances.  I've heard stories throughout the years of famous people that my friends are connected to.  With this web page, I intend to document some of them.  If you are connected to someone famous, e-mail the description to me and I'll post it.  And if you don't think you have any famous connections, just read this page.  If you know me, then now you have a link.  The only restriction on my posts is that the connection has to be a path that you could theoretically follow.  For example, the time I saw Britney Spears run through the airport doesn't count because there's no way I could get a message to her through that connection.  So let's get started.  Here is the list I have now (alphabetically by last name), and hopefully it will grow as you send me messages.  You can click on their picture for a link to more information.

	Avery Brooks Claim to fame: Benjamin Sisko on Deep Space Nine. Link: My friend, Charlotte, had a friend in high school named Eileen.  Eileen's (second?) cousin is married to Avery.
	Tom Cruise Claim to fame: Top Gun... and some other less interesting movies Link: Tom's second cousin is Doug Cruise.  Dough is a member of my family's church back in Indiana.
	Frank Claim to fame: MTV's Real World Las Vegas Link: Frank went to Bucknell with my friend Melissa.
	Bill Gates Claim to fame: Microsoft founder Link: Before Bill started Microsoft he seriously dated a girl in Minnesota.  While they were dating, the girl (Ann Winblad) was still living with her parents.  My manager, Pam, used to live directly above that family and knew them well.  She is still in contact with Ann's parents and Ann still spends on weekend a year on a getaway with Bill.
	Linda Hamilton Claim to fame: Movie star Link: Linda has a twin sister.  Her twin sister was a nurse for Elaine's dad.  Elaine shares a cube with me at work. Update! I just found out that Jackie knows Linda's sister as well.  So many connections!
	Katie Holmes Claim to fame: Dawson's Creek and some pretty big movies Link: I met Angie through my friend Kevin.  Angie worked at camp with a girl who grew up competing against Katie for acting jobs when they were young.
	Ryan Humphrey Claim to fame: Plays for the Memphis Grizzlies Link: I know a crazy guy from Lockheed in Syracuse named Shep.  Shep knows Ryan.  (And of course you can stretch this link to lots of ballers like Michael Jordan.)
	Annie and Kelly McRae Claim to fame: Southern Gospel singers with numerous songs on the charts Link: This is a short link. I met them at an autograph signing after one of their first big concerts. We started chatting over email and AIM in the months after that. While we don't talk as often as we used to, I still keep track of their careers and chat with them every once in a while. And just in case you don't believe me, here's a picture that was posted on their website of me with them at their concert in Oshkosh, WI.
	Ryan Newman Claim to fame: 2002 Nascar Winston Cup Rookie of the Year Link: Ryan went to Purdue with me although I didn't know him there.  I went to church in Indiana with Mrs. Berry.  Mrs. Berry's grandmother is Ryan's grandmother's sister.
	*NSync Claim to fame: Umm... you don't know? Link: The fianc of an RA at my sister Rachel's school was a public relations manager for the group.
	The Olsen Twins Claim to fame: Full House and numerous other TV shows and movies Link: The Olsen twins worked on Full house with Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey.)  I used to work at John Deere with Steve.  Steve's aunt was married to Dave Coulier.
	Danica Patrick Claim to fame: Racer, currently in Toyota Atlantic Series Link: My friend, Mike, went to high school with Danica.
	Laura Pepron Claim to fame: Donna on That 70's Show Link: My friend, Swarna, went to high school with Laura.
	Daniel Tripoli Claim to fame: Editor for shows such as The Sopranos, NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer Link: Daniel's cousin is Elaine who shares a cube with me at work.
	Debra Wilson Claim to fame: Cast of MadTV Link: Debra is friends with Tony.  Tony graduated with Elaine who shares a cube with me at work. Other: Debra has even called Elaine's house to talk to her children.  Elaine also has a bunch of MadTV gear as well some of Debra's dreadlocks!
	Wil Wheaton Claim to fame: Wesley Crusher on The Next Generation Link: My friend, Mike, used to live next to a guy who went to a school of arts with Wil.
	Scott Wimmer Claim to fame: Scott made a big splash in his first season in the Nascar Busch Series by finishing 11th points. Link: I have a friend named Kayte in North Carolina.  Her mother works with Scott's mother back in Wisconsin.
