This summer Microsoft is putting on three concerts with bands that remind me of high school. Headliners for the three shows are Harvey Danger, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Presidents of the United States. The second concert was the only one I could attend and I only got there for the last act, but Toad the Wet Sprocket put on a good show. (And the free beer and food didn't hurt either.) Glen Phillips said that his dad would consider this gig the crowning achievement of his career which got a good laugh from the crowd. It turns out that his dad was the librarian for one of the early homebrew computer clubs.
If you're on campus, head over to RedWest-A from 3-5:30 and check out the last concert this Thursday featuring Presidents of the United States. (How much do you think they hate the peaches song?)
For those of you who can't quite remember Toad, check out this video. You'll recognize the third song in the set.
