LauraM just pointed out to me that the ban on absinthe was lifted last year and it's now being produced in western Washington. Oh goody.
"If you have a drink or two, you'll begin to feel tipsy," Bernhard said. "Whereas, with absinthe it's kind of counterbalanced with a wide-awake feeling. You have somewhat king of a more heightened clarity."
Heightened clarity? I missed that part and went straight for the couch. The federal government may have lifted their ban, but I have not.
