Weekend Recap
Last weekend was full of good times. On Saturday, Greg and I jumped on our motorcycles and rode up to the Sunrise ranger station on the eastern side of Rainier. It was yet another gorgeous day and we could see all the way south to Mt. Adams. There was still a little snow around the parking area, but not nearly as much as I expected. The road opened late this year (July 3), but I guess it was because of rockslides over the road instead of snow. I forgot my tripod, but I got a decent 360 degree panorama from the hairpin turn about a mile below the Sunrise parking lot.
On Sunday after church, Tyla, Chelsea, Tim and I headed into Seattle for a walk along the sound. We started out with lunch on the deck at Red Robin. After visiting Pirates Plunder, we headed up the stairs to Pikes Market. I've been there a number of times before, but I've never been there when they were throwing fish. I can't say that anymore. Not only did we see them tossing fish around, but we got to hold some fish and take photos with them. I added 10 photos to the gallery.
Aside from the stinky fish hands, it was a great weekend. Next up: camping at Fort Flagler.
