Garmin 60CSx

I sold my old Garmin Quest within 24 hours of listing it on Craigslist and Live Expo. As soon as I got back to a computer, I placed an order for the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx.

Last Friday, Tim and I took it out for a test hike up Tiger Mountain. Overall, I'm very happy with the reception. It's easily able to acquire a signal inside my house and under the dense forest canopy. It held a signal for the entire hike and logged our track to a GPX file on the removable microSD card.

I had a hard time deciding between the 60csx and the Rhino 530HCx which adds an FRS/GRMS radio to the GPS, but in the end I decided the extra money wasn't worth it. I'll get separate radios.
